seriously. most kids love their parents unconditionally and accept them flaws and all, that’s how kids work. if a child feels a genuine anger and resentment towards their parent, it’s probably justified 🥴

“your parents love you!” “your parents know what’s best for you!” ……okay…….and what if they don’t? some parents suck at being parents and it’s okay to say that. let’s stop teaching kids that they should have to embrace emotional immaturity and abusive behaviour. you should be able to recognize your parents’ toxic traits without being labeled ungrateful 👍🏿
